Restoring America Event
Tea Party of America is proud to announce the Restoring America Event on Saturday, September 3rd from 11am to 2pm. Former Governor of Alaska and 2008 Republican Vice-Presidential Nominee Sarah Palin will be on hand to give the keynote address. This event will be held at the following location:
National Balloon Classic Field
15335 Jewell Street
Indianola, IA 50125
Parking: $5 for cars, $40 for buses
This is a family event! Barbecue, food and drinks will be available at a reasonable cost, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Central Iowa’s own variety band Split Second will also be providing live music entertainment spanning the ’50s all the way to the ’80s.

Is the Tea Party of America endorsing Sarah Palin as their candidate in the event that she decides to run for the Presidency?
Beaverton: Tea Party of America at present is NOT endorsing any particular candidate. The reason is pretty simple to me. We do NOT want to sway the electoral process in any fashion. This is the people’s Tea Party. When the field is down to the last couple of participants, we will ask the members whom ” THEY ” want to support by putting up a poll on this site. At that point in time, Tea Party of America will jump in with support of all kinds for the candidate that the Patriots want to see win the nomination.
Remember Patriots, this is your Tea Party, it is up to you to be engaged and participate in this wonderful thing called “Our Republic”. This means getting involved.

I am 100% certain Sarah Palin will announce her entrance into the 2012 Presidential race..
Some of you may have noticed an inadvertent word placement here on this site and that was quickly changed upon having been noticed by some with a keen eye. I won’t say what it was but IT WAS A CLEAR INDICATION THAT SARAH IS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT.
Immediately upon doing so, Sarah will skyrocket in the polls, edging out Perry and the rest of the field. She will slowly increase the margin over the following months.
Our next President will be President Palin! America can return to the great country it once was.. I am PALIN PROUD and proud to be an American!!!
I also envision at symbolic ceremony, shortly after her inauguration where Palin, on behalf of all Americans, proudly receives the bust of Winston Churchill from Britain for it’s rightful RETURN TO OUR WHITE HOUSE! America can be PROUD once again!!!!

Why question that? She has repeatedly said “I am a Republican”! Those who cut her down love it when we believe something that is contrary to what Sarah herself says. She is beyond a doubt a “Tea Party Republican”. That one is my opinion!
So you are confident that she has enough support within the Republican Party to win the nomination then. There seems to be a pretty strong movement among the Republican establishment to keep her out, but I guess you feel there are more than enough of the rank & file to assure Palin gets the nod.
You do realize, Beeymr, that a Palin nomination is just what the Democratic Party hope for, as they are sure the majority of voters would never give Mama Grizzly the Presidency.
Actually, it isn’t a Palin nomination that will assure an Obama win!! It is one of the establishment Republicans that will assure an Obama win! Sarah is a breath of fresh air in comparison to some of the other business as usual candidates!

Yeah, they tried that with Reagan, too. In fact, the Carter administration held a celebration when it was reported he won the nomination. Also, in 1979 he was more than 20 points behind Carter in the GALLUP touted daily by the NY Times.

Is anyone going to be broadcasting the event?
Steven: Yes, CSPAN will be broadcasting the event from start to finish. We are told that FOX and CNN are going to broadcast Governor Palin’s speech. It will also be broadcast on PJTV over the net. Ken
For those that cannot attend the Restore America Rally in Iowa on the 3rd, CSPAN is expected to carry it live from start to finish. PJTV is also planned to be broadcasting. Fox is doing the Gov. Palin part along with CNN and a couple more networks. The organizers have passed out some 100 media credentials so far.
I am coming to Iowa from Louisiana…..just got the e-mail and a link to print a ticket but it did not work……I have no ticket but I’m coming anyway.
Is anyone else having this problem?

Kjanlady: Don’t worry. The ticket is strictly so we can have a sense of how many are attending to better prepare. NO TICKET IS NECESSARY TO ENTER AND VIEW THE EVENT. No charge, the Event is free! WE do have a $5 charge for parking to assist with the cost of renting the facility. WE have plenty of room and the site is truly beautiful. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and since your coming from the great state of Louisiana, I think some shrimp might be order also. Don’t forget the smile. Ken
I was able to print tickets but they are free… My guess is they are just trying to get a handle on the number of folks who are going to show up…

Will you have state chapters? I’m looking for a Tea Party in Springfield (southwest) Missouri. The only one there is a 911 group. No Sarah groups either! I’m doing all I can at this point as an indifividual, but sure wish there was a ‘group’ in MO.

WE are traveling from Jupiter Fl. It,s going to be a great time..I’m sure the amount of people going to this event will shake things up like the earthquake did today in Virginia. This event will stop many in their tracks, especially Karl Rove and the boys..The old guard Republicans are on notice we are coming to Washington.. HI Ken, I’m glad things were resolved to day with the Sarah Cuda, she can be tough at times. This is what we need, someone who knows what she wants and takes control of the situation…….. We are in Nashville tonight, we will be in town Thursday. I look forward to being a part of History. Your Balloon field has never looked as good as it will Sat. After all is said and done Sarah Palin will announce in Iowa on Sat. I feel that on my heart, she knows what,s at stake….Hang in their with her, she can run hard and close like the great Secretariat. ***IMPORTANT*** i hope the coordinators of this event make sure there is a livestream. please make sure that it can handle a large capacity of viewers and that it is good quality video and audio!!

Count me in if Gov. Palin runs. The turnout on Sept 3 will be indicative of how large her following is. She’s got to be the frontrunner for the party who will show Pres. Obama the door.

I am not happy about the confusion or any of Ken’s media interaction. If Ken is so mistake prone maybe someone else could talk to the media? We went from having a straight forward Great Tea Party Rally to disorganization and confusion playing out in the media. What the heck is going on? Why was COD invited at the last minute, then dis-invited, then re-invited? Why all the guessing games playing out in the media by Tea Party leaders? The Rally still looks to be historic. I will be there volunteering, I love the Tea Party Message. Sarah Palin is a great spokesperson for our message. She lives it, therefor I trust her words. The Tea Party movement should not endorse candidates, our message is too important. If a candidate endorses OUR message great. If their deeds match their words, we can individually endorse and work for their election.
America is looking for answers. She is looking for a new direction; the world is looking for a light.

Driving west from Illinois means leaving early Friday to avoid the setting sun. Any of you needing another pair of hands, let me know because I’d love to help either Friday night or as early as you need it on Saturday. I cannot imagine being this close and not making this trip.
Very excited to be able to travel to the event. As many of us are traveling great distances, we want to allow enough time to get situated and enjoy the event. The event is scheduled to begin at 11. What time will parking lot/field be open? I know we need to show up early, but how early?!?! UJust looking for guidance on this. Thanks!

What I truly appreciate about Palin is her positive outlook. She doesn’t nitpick or criticize but merely calls others on their faulty policies. She is supportive of the GOP candidates and doesn’t return evil for evil. We could ALL take a clue and stop the nitpicking!
Interesting…If you cross the North Korean border illegally, you get 12 yrs. hard labor. If you cross the Afghanistan border illegally, you get shot. Two Americans just got eight years for crossing the Iranian border. If you cross the U.S. border illegally you get a job, a driver’s license, food stamps, a place to live, health care, housing & child benefits, education, & a tax free business for 7 yrs. No wonder we are a country in debt!
I just left the field, it is not set up right… no room for the people… The stage is set up to close to the road..its practically on top of Jewel St. More room for car,s than people. My guess it won’t matter, just add to the drama..Ya can’t Stop Sarah Palin, she will announce anyway. By this time tomorrow America will have someone we all can get behind. I was wondering if the Tea Party is going to put a video up? So, other pro-tea party groups can put in their websites (blogs) for anyone who missed it or could watch it can see it later.
On the back of my Jaguar I have a Sarah Palin bumper ticker that’s been there since 2008. I cut off the McCain half of the bumper sticker leaving Palin’s name. I love Sarah Palin , but the odds of her winning the Presidency are slim and none. Being an electoral college expert , the GOP’s best chances to win are with a ticket of John Kasich (Ohio) and Marco Rubio (Florida) . These two candidates will secure two crucial states the GOP absolutely need have or Obama will win again. What I would like to see is for Sarah to announce at the end of this month , that she endorses the ticket of Kasich/Rubio as it is the most likely to win electorally. Both these folks have been fully vetted , experienced , TV savy for the debates , are from the middle class and they advocate the principles of Tea Party of America and the other many Tea Parties. This unusual endorsement of two consevatives who are not even running , would be seen as a totally unselfish decision , plus Sarah is putting the country first. Sarah could actively campaign for the them , encouraging their entry into the race as a team . By doing this Sarah Palin would drive the liberal press absolutely nuts as she would be above the fray free from personal attacks directed at her own ambitions. She we be the Kingmaker and in effect Sarah Palin becomes America’s Joan of Arc saving the country from the Progressives…. Thanks for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do a little research on this. We got a grab a book from our local library but I think I learned more from this post. I’m very glad to see such wonderful info being shared freely out there.
It’s good to see that the “Join Us” form has reappeared at your website; dropped in a few weeks ago and it seemed to have disappeared? I’ve been mulling over whether or not to join this newest Taxed Enough Already organization. As a registered, though relatively insignificant, member (since June of 2009) of Tea Party Patriots I’ve been witness to some of their organization’s growing pains. The first thing you’ll have to contend with, if you’re not already aware of this, is the outright frauds (a.k.a. leftist propagandists) who will sign up with your organization. This may not be a serious problem right now but, as your organization’s momentum takes off, it will become an ‘issue’ for you in the near-future. The second potential stumbling block will be the naysayers (i.e. establishment RNC-Washington types) who will also actively ‘infiltrate’ your organization. Their objective will be, as it always is, to convince “We the People” that dedicated Constitution-adhering Conservative candidates (e.g. Herman Cain, Michele Bachmann, or Sarah Palin?) are ‘unelectable’. Such people, no matter how sincere they might actually be, are simply lacking courage or conviction. To be blatantly honest, I’ve had enough of such know-it-all policy-wonk ‘conventional wisdom?’ fools. Note: such people (some to literally the very end of the 1980 campaign) spewed the very same sort of gutless nonsense about Ronald Reagan. As for the so-called Republican presidential front-runners ‘proclaimed’ today, who will remain unnamed here, I personally have already rejected both of them. Neither of them is really committed to a Constitutionally-limited Federal Republic of Sovereign American Citizens; and their records in public office prove this. Will Sarah Palin eventually choose to enter the race for the Republican nomination? I for one really do wish that she would. Tuesday, November 6, 2012 is still slightly more then one year off; and it will be thirteen more torturously-long months of ‘Hussein’ the Second’s “dogmatic adherence to irrationality”. Status-quo RINO candidates (running for any public office) are no longer acceptable.
